”Image of a screen with a photograph of a woman looking at a folder containing documents. A series of tabs are at the bottom of the screen with the tab for Mediation highlighted.

Text reads: Title: Mediation. Mediation is a problem-solving session. Mediation is:

Agreement reached: Mediation agreement is written and signed by parents and the school representative. No agreement: Parent may file a complaint or due process request.”

Mediation is a process that can be used to resolve disagreements between you and the school. It provides for you and the school to participate in a meaningful way to resolve a dispute on behalf of your child. Every issue may not be resolved, but most importantly mediation helps to maintain or reestablish a collaborative working relationship between you and the school.
