The Importance of Hand-Carrying Your IEP

Text reads: Title: The Importance of Hand-Carrying Your I E P. To facilitate placement at the new school, hand-carry a copy of the current I E P.”

Packed boxes take time to arrive. Your goal is to meet with the staff of the new school as soon as you arrive to facilitate placement. Therefore, it is important that, at a minimum, you hand-carry a copy of your child's current IEP when you are traveling to your new home.
